Wapping has been my home for over 30 years, I live here with my wife and family and my two young sons. I am proud to have the opportunity to represent the area where I grew up.
I am deeply rooted in the local community and understand first-hand the issues and concerns facing my friends and neighbours in Wapping. Fighting proposed cuts to vital bus services, reducing crime and ASB, increasing children’s and healthcare provisions, affordable housing and protecting our green spaces are all priorities.
I have held a number of professional and non-executive roles across London and am an experienced councillor having served as a cabinet member from 2006- 2010. I have a record of delivering.
In real terms this means delivery of twenty extra police officers on the streets, over £2 million pounds invested in CCTV; recycling rates improved by up to 40%, much needed support provided to local community organisations including securing over £1.5 million funding for the local youth centre and much more.
In Wapping, I help to run a local charity which helps the most venerable in our society with welfare advice and health and wellbeing provisions and work to bring communities together hosting annual interfaith and inter-generational gatherings.
Vote for me as one of your councillors and you will have a local voice in the town hall who is on your side.
